The Roubideau Creek Petroglyphs are located in the Camel Back Wilderness Study Area west of Olathe, Colorado. We have been able to find 3 panels of petroglyphs near where the Roubideau Pack Trail crosses Roubideau Creek. The trail itself is very well constructed and makes for an enjoyable hike.

Several rock shelters can be found along the Tow-Me-Home Road just west of Olathe, Colorado. The first of them has some black charcoal pictographs similar to ones found in the nearby Casebier Rock Shelter. Both rock shelters have been used as campsites in modern times.

The Morris Site is located at the foot of the Uncompahgre Plateau on BLM land about 7 miles west of Olathe, Colorado. Found at the site along its colorful cliffs are numerous sharpening grooves, a few petroglyphs, and some grinding slicks.

The Fossil Creek Petroglyphs are located in Inyo County California along US-395 in the canyon just below Fossil Falls in the Fossil Falls Campgrounds Recreation Site. A few petroglyphs and the Stahl Rock Shelter make up what can be found in the Fossil Creek area.

Andreas Canyon Pictographs

The Andreas Canyon Pictographs are located in the Indian Canyon area of Palm Springs, California. Found at the site is a rock shelter with some pictographs on its ceiling. A boulder inside the rock shelter has cupules pounded into its surface. On the outside of the shelter there are some petroglyphs.

To get there enter Andreas Canyon Trailhead into your driving app. From the fee station on S Palm Canyon Drive continue straight for about 520 feet and turn right at the intersection following the sign for the Andreas Canyon Trailhead which is on the right after about 0.8 miles.

The rock shelter is on the prominent ridge above the northeast corner of the parking area.
