Yuha Geoglyph

GPS planning file and map.

The Yuha Geoglyphs are located in the desert southeast of Ocotillo, California. The intricate geoglyphs were destroyed by dirt bike riders and then reconstructed under the direction of the BLM by the Imperial Valley College - Barker Museum.

Trailhead kiosk.

To get there, take I-8 Exit 87, just outside of Ocotillo, and drive southeast on CA-98 for 7.25 miles. Turn left on Anza Trail Road, BLM 274. At the 2.2 mile point of Anza Trail the Yuha Wash Road, leading to Yuha Well, departs on the right. In another 0.45 miles arrive at the Yuba Geoglyphs that are enclosed within a large fenced area.

We included the directions to Yuha Well thinking that when we make our visit we might scout Yuha Wash for any signs of rock art.

Included with this post is the GPS file and map that we plan to use for our first visit. If you don't want to wait for us to get around to it feel free to try the GPS file and map for yourself. With no guarantee, of course, but they most often prove valuable for us.
