The Hayfield Petroglyphs are located in the Joshua Tree Wilderness Area near Hayfield, California. Visitors should be able to find petroglyphs on boulders in several places between the unmarked trailhead and Hayfield Spring.
For turn-by-turn directions to the edge of the Wilderness Area enter 33.70673, -115.60688 into your driving app. From there hike up the left side of the wash looking for any petroglyphs on the boulders along the way. It is just under 2 miles to the spring.
