The Fish Trap Petroglyphs are located 10 miles south of Coachella, California. The petroglyphs were etched into a layer of travertine that covers the boulders in the area. As travertine weathers easily the petroglyphs have become faint. Nearby there are also some Early Indian Fish Traps as seen on the following topo map.
