Mustang Ridge Ruin

GPS planning file and map.

The Mustang Ridge Ruin is located in a remote area of the Fort Apache Indian Reservation between Globe and Snowflake, Arizona. Access is via the Cherry Creek Road. To get there, drive up the Cherry Creek Road for 25 miles and turn right onto FR 203. From there it is 15.75 miles to the trailhead. It looks like a 4WD vehicle might be required. From that point it should be about a quarter mile hike to the ruins. It is hard to tell from Google Earth what you will find. Entering the trailhead coordinates ‘33.84465, -110.74273’ into your driving app will get you most of the way to the trailhead but the entire road seems to be unknown to the software.

Included with this post is the GPS file and map that we plan to use for our first visit. If you don't want to wait for us to get around to it feel free to try the GPS file and map for yourself. With no guarantee, of course, but they most often prove valuable for us.
