Laws Spring is located north of Williams, Arizona in the Kaibab National Forest. On the cliffs above the spring, and on the walls of the natural tank, there are quite a few petroglyphs. On this trip there was also a rather big, and rather old looking bear nosing about the spring.

Tellurium Lake is located in the Holy Cross Wilderness Area of the White River National Forest east of Basalt, Colorado. The picturesque subalpine lake, that offers a distant view of Savage Peak (13,139 ft.), is a good backpacking destination that also has good fishing for Brook and Lake Trout. The lake can be accessed from the south through Henderson Park as well as from the west beginning off of the Burnt Mountain Road which was the route taken for this post.

The Oh-Be-Joyful trail is located in the Raggeds Wilderness Area of the Gunnison National Forest near the town of Crested Butte, Colorado. The trail begins along the Slate River at the Oh-Be-Joyful campground where it travels up a narrow valley along Oh-Be-Joyful Creek coming to an end below Oh-Be-Joyful Peak (12,420 feet) at a junction with the Daisy Pass trail.

The Hadley Gulch trail is located in the Clinetops area of the White River National Forest near Rifle, Colorado. The trail begins off of the Main Elk Creek Road where it climbs steeply up Hadley Gulch to the Clinetop Cow Camp. From there a forest road can be followed for just under a mile to reconnect with the Main Elk Creek Road. The Hadley Gulch trail also provides fishing access to Deep Creek and several rock climbing walls that are located in the mouth of the gulch.

The Leonard's Ridge trail is located in the Plateau Division of the Uncompahgre National Forest near Grand Junction, Colorado. The trail begins on Leonard's Ridge at the end of Forest Road #414.1A where it makes a descent down a draw that starts out steep at first but eases towards the end where it meets up with the Blue Creek and Mailbox trails. At present there isn't a sign marking the upper end of the trail so for practical purposes our map shows the trail beginning at the point where FR #414.1A branches off of FR #414. That ends up adding about a quarter mile to the length of the trail.
