The Tapco Cliff Dwelling is located along the Verde River just north of Clarkdale, Arizona. It appears to be just inside the boundary of the Prescott National Forest. From US-89A in Clarkdale drive north on North Broadway. As the street bends to the right and continues past the last street it becomes Tapco. Near the 2 mile point, at a bend in the road, there is a wide pullout on the left that should serve as a trailhead and parking. There is probably a social trail that leads to the ruin. It looks like it might go beneath the railroad tracks. It should be less than a quarter mile one-way.
Included with this post is the GPS file and map that we plan to use for our first visit. If you don't want to wait for us to get around to it feel free to try the GPS file and map for yourself. With no guarantee, of course, but they most often prove valuable for us.
