Sugarloaf Ruins

GPS planning file and map.

The Sugarloaf Ruins are located in Cornville, Arizona. Both ruins were found marked on our topo map. One is on top of a small hill named Sugarloaf and the other is across a street by that name on a bluff above Oak Creek. To get there, turn off of AZ-89A onto East Cornville Road and follow it for 3.5 miles. At that point turn right onto South Loy Road for 1.7 miles to its intersection with Sugarloaf. If there aren’t any no trespassing signs then find a place to park and hike to the ruins.

The hike to Ruin 3 is just over 1,000 feet. After that drive on around to the other 2 ruins. Ruin 2 is only 127 feet from the road and Ruin 1 is about 1,020 feet.

Included with this post is the GPS file and map that we plan to use for our first visit. If you don't want to wait for us to get around to it feel free to try the GPS file and map for yourself. With no guarantee, of course, but they most often prove valuable for us.
