Sherwood Ranch Pueblo

GPS planning file and map.

The Sherwood Ranch Pueblo is 11 miles north of Springerville, Arizona off of US-191. From the turnoff of 191 take the first right and follow it down to the parking area. We’ve driven down the road but stopped at a ‘No Trespassing’ sign. It appears that the site can be visited by tours at least from the following:

The Little Colorado River Chapter of the Arizona Archeological Society has plans for a number of additional tours in the near future. For details or membership information, contact Vicki Goin at (928) 333-3147.

The Sherwood Ranch Petroglyphs are right on the edge of the Arizona Land Trust. It is uncertain whether they are visitable or not. We plotted a possible route from US-191.

Included with this post is the GPS file and map that we plan to use for our first visit. If you don't want to wait for us to get around to it feel free to try the GPS file and map for yourself. With no guarantee, of course, but they most often prove valuable for us.
