Mindeleff Cavettes

GPS planning file and map.

The Mindeleff Cavettes is a site near Camp Verde, Arizona that we haven't visited yet. The site consists of an array of 98 prehistoric hand carved caves with 367 rooms. It is across the Verde River from the Beasley Flat Day Use Area. To get there take I-17 Exit 287 for AZ-260. Follow AZ-260 for about 9.8 miles and turn right onto the Fossil Creek Road, FR 708. In another 1.1 miles turn right onto FR 500. Continue for another 5.3 miles to the trailhead. If you try to enter 'Mindeleff Cavettes' into your driving app it will lead you to Beasley Flats and you will have to swim across the Verde River and scale the cliffs.

Included with this post is the GPS file and map that we plan to use for our first visit. If you don't want to wait for us to get around to it feel free to try the GPS file and map for yourself. With no guarantee, of course, but they most often prove valuable for us.
