Coyote Mountain Petroglyphs

GPS planning file and map.

The Coyote Mountain Petroglyphs is a site near Three Points, Arizona that we haven't visited yet. The site is located on private property on the King's Anvil Ranch and requires an access pass which can be obtained online from the Arizona Game and Fish. To get there from Three Points drive west on AZ-286 for about 7.8 miles to the King's Anvil Ranch turnoff. Continue for about 7.1 miles and then turn right near the Mendoza Corrals. Follow this road for 2.3 to 2.6 miles and hike the remaining distance to the petroglyphs. You will need to scramble up the hillside to see them all. Note that if you try to access the area without a permit you will be charged with trespass and besides what that entails you will forever lose access to other similar areas.

Included with this post is the GPS file and map that we plan to use for our first visit. If you don't want to wait for us to get around to it feel free to try the GPS file and map for yourself. With no guarantee, of course, but they most often prove valuable for us.
