The Outer Limits, a.k.a. Loop 4, trail is part of the County Line Nordic Area in the Grand Mesa National Forest between Delta and Grand Junction, Colorado. The trail is located about 2 miles from the trailhead where there is an optional out-and-back that leads to an overlook along the rim above the Island Lake area. The Outer Limits trail by itself is an ungroomed backcountry trail through the trees that is 1.2 miles in length. The trail begins and ends off of Loop 3.

The Vista Ridge trail is part of the Skyway Nordic Area in the Grand Mesa National Forest near Grand Junction, Colorado. The trail connects the Lions Loop with the Kannah Crossing and Vista Valley trails. The trail is frequently combined with the Vista Valley trail to form the Vista Loop.

County Line Loop 3 is part of the County Line Nordic Trails in the Grand Mesa National Forest between Grand Junction and Delta, Colorado. Beginning near the trailhead Loop 3 follows a route that forms a large loop around the Scales Lake Reservoirs. Along the way it connects to most of the other trails in the area as well as 2 trails that connect to the Skyway Nordic Trails.

Will's Hill is part of the Skyway Nordic Area in the Grand Mesa National Forest near Grand Junction, Colorado. The trail provides a short connecting route between the Lyons Loop and Arroyo trails. Will's Hill is well known for a steep and very memorable downhill run where it drops off the hill and connects to the Arroyo trail.

The Vista Valley trail is part of the Skyway Nordic Trails in the Grand Mesa National Forest near Grand Junction, Colorado. The trail begins off of the Lions Loop at the end of the Arroyo trail where it travels leisurely up a serene valley. The trail ends at a junction with the Summit and Vista Ridge trails.
