The Blue Heron Marsh trail is located in the Highline Lake State Park west of Grand Junction, Colorado. The trail begins on the east side of the Highline Lake dam where it descends to the area below the spillway, crosses the stream, and climbs back up the terrain to the west side of the dam. The area below the spillway has several small ponds surrounded by cattails, sagebrush and reed grass. Various birds, as well as mule deer, can be spotted in the marsh from time to time. The Blue Heron Marsh trail also serves as part of the 18 Hours of Fruita trail that is part of an annual mountain bike race held every year during the Fruita Fat Tire Festival.

Navajo Bridge is located in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area near Marble Canyon, Arizona. The historic bridge spans the Colorado River below Lee's Ferry as it begins its flow into the Grand Canyon. Navajo Bridge was opened in 1929 to replace Lee's Ferry which was the only means of crossing the Colorado River anywhere along the Arizona Strip. California Condors can be spotted frequently perched on the girders below the original bridge and its replacement that was opened in 1995.

The Birding Trail is located in the Catalina State Park north of Tucson, Arizona. The trail makes a 1 mile loop around the mouth of Montrose Canyon. A mesquite bosque with desert desert shrubs creates a unique bird habitat for various local and migrating species of birds. With the Santa Catalina Mountains as a backdrop to the trail visitors are treated to a pleasant experience in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona.

The Neversink trail is located in the Curecanti National Recreation Area near Gunnison, Colorado. The trail follows along the banks of the Gunnison River where there is a thick growth of cottonwoods, willows and tall grasses. The trail provides fishing access to the Gunnison River, wildlife viewing opportunities and is well suited for families with small children.
