The Wellton Petroglyphs are located just across the Gila River near Wellton, Arizona. To get there, take I-8 Exit 30 and drive north on South 29 East for 2 miles. Turn left onto East County 9th for another 2 miles. Go right onto South 27 East for 0.6 miles. At that point turn left for a tenth of a mile where there should be a faint track leading south to the petroglyphs. The petroglyphs might be scattered about on different rocks in the area.
Included with this post is the GPS file and map that we plan to use for our first visit. If you don't want to wait for us to get around to it feel free to try the GPS file and map for yourself. With no guarantee, of course, but they most often prove valuable for us.
