Tara Spring Ruin

GPS planning file and map.

The Tara Spring Ruin is located in the Agua Fria National Monument near Black Canyon City, Arizona. The pueblo style ruin looks like it has about 30 rooms. To get there, take I-17 Exit 259, follow the Bloody Basin Road for 10.9 miles, and turn right onto FR 14. Continue for another 9.3 miles or 4.2 miles past the Squaw Creek Pueblo. From there it should be about 0.6 miles of hiking to the ruins that sit on the edge of the mesa overlooking the Agua Fria River and the Tara Spring area.

Included with this post is the GPS file and map that we plan to use for our first visit. If you don't want to wait for us to get around to it feel free to try the GPS file and map for yourself. With no guarantee, of course, but they most often prove valuable for us.
