Just off of the Rocky Point Road, 3 miles west of the Painted Rock Petroglyph site near Gila Bend, Arizona is a site that we haven’t visited yet. The petroglyphs are just inside a short canyon for which we don’t have a name.
To get there from the Painted Rock Petroglyph Site drive west on the Rocky Point Road for about 3 miles. After passing the last field and before reaching the wash of the Gila River, find a place to park and hike over to the petroglyphs which should only be about ¾ of a mile away.
Included with this post is the GPS file and map that we plan to use for our first visit. If you don't want to wait for us to get around to it feel free to try the GPS file and map for yourself. With no guarantee, of course, but they most often prove valuable for us.
