The Fourvert Tank Ruin is located about 10 miles southeast of Winona, Arizona. Found at the site are the rubble pile remains of a pueblo style ruin that sits on a hill overlooking Fourvert Tank and Interstate 40.

For turn-by-turn directions you can enter 35.15722, -111.32606 into your driving app. From Exit 211 you will be sent east on the Frontage Road along the south side of I-40 for about 5.9 miles where you will turn right.

From there you will follow Road 4D.

In another half mile you will pass Fourvert Tank.

At Fourvert Tank there is a fork in the road where you will want to go to the right to get to the ruins which are on top of a bench on a ridge a short distance away.

As the road travels past the ruins there is a short spur that will take you right up to the main rubble pile.

The outline of a few rooms are visible but we could only estimate there to be about 4 rooms in total for the main rubble pile.

A few more rooms are off to the side, that don't appear to have been connected to the main block, but add to the overall size of the small pueblo. An oval depression can be found that may have been a kiva although all that is visible is the depression itself.

Small shards of pottery can be spotted all around the piles of rubble.

The Fourvert Tank Ruins are the second of fifteen ruins that we found marked on an old topo map. So far, every ruin has been exactly where it was marked on the map. All the map had on it was the word 'Ruin' so as far as the names go we made those up ourselves. If you would like to see it for yourself then all you have to do is 'Take a hike'.
