Treasure Falls is located east of Pagosa Springs, Colorado along US Highway 160 at the base of Wolf Creek Pass. The mountain from which the scenic 105 foot waterfall flows is known as Treasure Mountain and has an interesting story that goes with its name. As the legend goes, back in the late 1700's when the area was under Spanish control there was a group of several hundred Frenchmen that came along and are said to have found a considerable amount of gold. Unfortunately, all but two of them perished due to conflicts with the Indians, bad weather and disease.

Piedra Falls is located in the San Juan National Forest north of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. At the end of a pleasant half mile long trail hikers are rewarded with views of a scenic waterfall cascading down volcanic cliffs into the creek below.

Silver Falls is located along the East Fork of the San Juan River, east of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, in the San Juan National Forest. The trail to the scenic waterfall is less than a quarter mile in length and only takes 10 or 15 minutes to hike but you need to add a couple more hours for getting to and from the trailhead from Pagosa Springs. The drive up the beautiful East Fork Canyon is well worth the trip all by itself.
