Fewkes Rock is located along the South Salt Mine Road in Camp Verde, Arizona. The site consists of a single boulder with a number of interesting spirals and concentric circles worked into its north facing surface.
To get there take I-17 Exit 287 and follow AZ 260 for 1.5 miles and turn right onto the Oasis Road. Go right again after a half mile when you come to the South Salt Mine Road where it is another 5.4 miles to Fewkes Rock which will be on the left where drivers are protected from hitting it by a guardrail. There are pullouts on both sides of the road. For turn-by-turn directions you can enter the GPS coordinates, 34.49933, -111.83753, into your driving app.
The deeply etched images are somewhat obscured by lichen and fresh patina.
The connected spirals on the right might depict a journey.
On the lower left are a pair of concentric circles and a spiral.
The spiral as an extra path in the center that makes a half circle and then crosses the other lines at a downward angle and then exits the spiral.
The pair of concentric circles are connected by parallel lines with arcing lines trailing off below.
