The Rockhouse Tank Pueblo is located in the Tonto National Forest, bordering on the Agua Fria National Monument, northeast of Black Canyon City, Arizona. The pueblo is in close proximity with those of the Big Rosalie Group, Hackberry Wash, and the Copper Creek Pueblo.

The Rockhouse Tank ruin can easily be seen in a half day tour with the other 8 ruins that are in the immediate area. If coming from the Hackberry Ruins turn off of FR 481 onto FR 593 and it is 3 tenths of a mile to the Rockhouse Tank site. If coming from the west it is 9 tenths of a mile from FR 14 and less than a quarter mile from the Big Rosalie Group.

A short spur road leads right up to the ruin from FR 593.

Like most of the ruins in the area there is a brown mylar marker with a sticker reminding visitors that it is illegal to do any excavating of your own, remove artifacts, or do anything else that would damage the site. Sometimes these stickers are faded and hard to read but they all say the same thing.

The ruble pile ruin is largely overgrown with grass and brush. It was originally made up of 20 rooms or so making it a good medium sized pueblo for this area.

Some stacked stones beneath the piles of rubble are still visible.

The pottery here is the same unpainted color as that at all the other ruins.

The Rockhouse Tank Pueblo has a clear line of sight view of the Big Rosalie Pueblo to the south, another pueblo of that group to the west, the 2 Hackberry Wash Ruins, and the Copper Creek Pueblo. That plus being close to a natural tank may have made it a strategic pueblo in the area. If you would like to see it for yourself then all you have to do is 'Take a hike'.
