Rosy Canyon Site 3 is located off of the west side of County Highway 237 northeast of Colorado City, Arizona. The petroglyphs are on the point of a short cliff right above the trailhead.
To get there from Colorado City drive east on UT-389 and turn north onto County Highway 237. Continue for 6.7 miles to where a 4WD road departs on the left. The turnoff is just over 700 feet past the turnoff to Rosy Canyon Site 2. The 4WD road is pretty sandy, especially where it crosses a shallow wash. If you end up hiking from the pavement it doesn't add much to the effort.
The 4WD road ends at a little turn around right before a fence. The petroglyphs are on the lower part of the cliffs.
The nature of the site makes it difficult to get into a position where you can get good photos. The way the sunlight shines on it doesn't help.
This geometric figure shows up better than most of the other images.
Most all of the images at this site are geometric shapes. We wondered if it may have been something like a map site.
Here's an image that is half in the shadows and half out.
Looking down Rosy Canyon from Site 3 you can see another dirt road that leads to the site. That route might cross private property.
This same spot serves as the trailhead for Rosy Canyon Site 4 which is quite a nice site to visit. Rosy Canyon Site 3 is small enough that we didn't bother making a slideshow. If you would like to see it for yourself then all you have to do is 'Take a hike'.
