The Good Vibes trail is located in the BLM Third Flats Area near Grand Junction, Colorado. The trail begins right at the Little Park trailhead where it follows a route that takes it over the hill between the First Flats and Third Flats areas. The trail comes to an end on the Third Flats side of the hill where it connects up with the Snakeskin trail.

The Little Park trailhead is about 4 miles from the junction of the Little Park Road and Monument Road.

The Good Vibes trail begins in the area right behind the restroom. The unmarked trail on the left is what we nicknamed the 'Tornado' trail several years ago because it looked like a tornado when it was plotted out on a map.

The trail starts out with a gentle climb up the hill to the south of the trailhead.

As the trail enters the trees it quickly begins negotiating a route up the rocky slope.

The dirt here has a lot of adobe clay in it which packs into a nice hard trail when it is dry. When it gets soaked though it becomes a gummy mess that balls up on everything it touches.

The trail was designed with a few features that take advantage of the natural outcrops of rocks that offer up some moderate challenges for mountain bikers.

An open area comes up where the trail flattens out quite a bit.

Looking at the elevation profile it is apparent that the trail never does become very steep as it steps its way up and over the hill.

The steepest grade comes up on the short lived downhill stretch of the trail.

Good Vibes comes to an end when it meets up with the Snakeskin trail on the Third Flats side of the hill. From here there are lots of options to choose from to extend your outing including looping back to the trailhead on the Snakeskin trail. For mountain bikers the rocky features of the Good Vibes trail would be easier when going in the other direction. Overall the Good Vibes trail is a nice addition that ties together the Lunch Loop and Third Flats trail areas. If you would like to see it for yourself then all you have to do is grab your bike or 'Take a hike'.
