The Kokopelli Bike & Board trail is located in the Phil's World Mountain Bike Trails System near Cortez, Colorado. The trail is the first leg of any of the other trails in Phil's World except for the Trust Loop and Hippie House. The trails in Phil's World are meant to be ridden one-way in the clockwise direction. For the main body of trails Kokopelli Bike & Board is the entry point and Bob's Loop is the main exit.

From the parking area the trail begins on the north side of the access road.

Upon entering the area and following the left fork there is a map and fee station where donations can be made and memberships purchased to help support the trail system.

From the fee station the trail continues as an easy singletrack of mostly packed dirt with an occasional rocky bump.

The general trend in elevation is slightly uphill at first giving the leg muscles a good chance to warm up.

The climbing increases as the trail works its way up a small hill.

Around the 1 mile point the trail flattens a little and becomes easier as it winds through the juniper forest.

The last section of the trail climbs along some short lemon colored cliffs. There are a few more rocks along the trail but the track itself is still mostly hard packed dirt.

At the top of a little rise the Kokopelli Bike & Board trail comes to an end and the Coco Race trail takes over. There is a short connector on the right that leads over to Bob's Loop about 20 feet away. Bob's Loop is one-way heading back to the trailhead so if you forgot something or need to bail then this is your chance. If you would like to see it for yourself then all you have to do is grab your bike or 'Take a hike'.
