A primitive campsite serves as the trailhead. The points of most interest are found in 3 different alcoves. The alcove on the left has a boulder with a few sharpening grooves. The middle alcove has some ruins and painted hand pictographs. The alcove on the right has some sharpening grooves, a couple of grinding slicks, and a few petroglyphs.

The middle alcove has a small wall remnant.

The surface of the rock in the alcove is slowly dissolving away and spoiling the painted images.

If inhabited during the winter the cave would have been warmed by the sun for much of the day.

The rock shelter all the way on the right has a few grinding slicks and images made from sharpening grooves.

There is also this peculiar looking anthropomorphic figure.

Next to some cupules there is an image that looks like a fern.

That is most of what there is to see at Site #3 in Alvey Wash. Alvey Wash is a big area so there is a good chance that there are more sites than the 3 that we have pointed out. These 3 are all close to the main road and easy to find. If you would like to see them for yourself then all you have to do is 'Take a hike'.
