Carrizo Canyon is located southeast of Bloomfield, New Mexico in the Dinetah Area. This post is for the third of three petroglyph sites that we have identified within close proximity of each other that are in Carrizo Canyon.
For turn-by-turn directions enter 36.63949, -107.57673 into your driving app. We parked off to the side of a well site that was just under a half mile from Site II. From there we headed first to where we drew the red circle on the right.
There is a deep wash right in front of this panel so we took our photos from the opposite side of the wash. I suppose the man is meant to be riding a horse and not a giant pig.
There are some easy places to get across the wash to the rest of the panels. The panel with the man riding the horse is just beyond the tree on the right if you would like a closer look at it. The next panels of images start on the left side of the tree.
This partially rayed circle is almost right behind the tree.
As you go along the cliff to the left you will find some old faint basketmaker style images.
Here we appear to have a blend of old and new. On the right the figures have a basketmaker look. The central figure by the bear paw appears to be Navajo.

We had to go in and out of the wash to get around to this panel.
Near that image is this one of a person that looks like it is dancing.
And the very last image looks like a cow.
