The Secret Passage trail is located in the Klonzo Mountain Biking Area north of Moab, Utah. The trail begins and ends off of the Cross Canyon trail with a connection to the Vertigo trail in the middle. Secret Passage travels through a small valley that is secluded from view from most of the trails in the north section of Klonzo. We're guessing that has something to do with its name. For directions to the Klonzo area check out the Boondocks trail.

For this post we are beginning where the lower end of the Secret Passage trail departs from Cross Canyon. This point is about a third of a mile from the bottom of the Cross Canyon trail and about 1 mile from the top.

The Secret Passage trail is mostly a smooth dirt singletrack.

From this end of the trail it begins with a little downhill and then climbs over a small ridge.

From the ridge the trail descends into the valley with a short section of the trail hitting a grade of 17%.

Near the halfway point of the trail the lower end of the Vertigo trail connects to Secret Passage.

From the junction of the Vertigo trail the rest of Secret Passage makes a steady climb at a moderate rate. The climb is gentle enough that the ride is pretty easy.

Secret Passage reconnects to the Cross Canyon trail and comes to an end. The trail becomes important for anyone that is riding the Vertigo trail. A popular ride is to follow the Borderline trail from Parking Area A to the Cross Canyon trail and following that for a third of a mile to Secret Passage and riding it over to Vertigo and that can be taken up to the top of Cross Canyon. The Secret Passage trail adds lots of options for trail combinations. If you would like to see it for yourself then all you have to do is grab your bike or 'Take a hike'.
